Metal Sonic Hyperdrive

Metal Sonic Hyperdrive is a fan-made game based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Created by a group of fans under the name of "Team Hyperdrive," the game was released in 2012 as a ROM hack for the original Sonic the Hedgehog game on the Sega Genesis. The game follows Metal Sonic, the robotic doppelganger of Sonic the Hedgehog, as he seeks to defeat his arch-nemesis and become the most powerful being in the universe. The gameplay is similar to the classic Sonic games, with fast-paced platforming action and a focus on speed and exploration.

This game features eight zones, each with its unique themes and challenges. These zones include classic Sonic locations like Green Hill Zone and Chemical Plant Zone, as well as original areas like Sky Sanctuary Zone and Crystal Frost Zone. Each zone has two acts, with a boss battle at the end of the second act.

Metal Sonic has a unique moveset and abilities compared to Sonic. For example, Metal Sonic can perform a "dash" move that allows him to quickly charge through enemies and obstacles, as well as a "spin dash" move that lets him build up speed and launch himself forward. The game also features a variety of power-ups and items, including shields, speed boosts, and invincibility stars. There are also hidden areas and secrets to discover, adding to the game's replay value.
