About the Game
Tails in Sonic the Hedgehog is a fan-made ROM hack of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. The hack replaces Sonic with Tails, allowing you to play through the classic adventure as Sonic's famous two-tailed companion. Since Tails did not appear in the original 1991 release, this project gives fans a chance to experience Green Hill Zone and the rest of Sonic's first adventure from a different perspective.
The game keeps the original levels, enemies, bosses, and story intact. The main change is the playable character.

๐ The Original Story
The story remains the same as the original Sonic the Hedgehog.
Dr. Eggman has captured innocent animals and trapped them inside robotic machines. Your goal is to travel across South Island, rescue animals, collect Chaos Emeralds, and stop Eggman's plans.
This version simply places Tails in the starring role.

- Marble Zone
- Spring Yard Zone
- Labyrinth Zone
- Star Light Zone
- Scrap Brain Zone
Each stage retains its original layout and hazards.
โจ How Tails Differs
In the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails was not yet part of the series. He first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
This ROM hack edits the game so Tails becomes the playable character. Depending on the version of the hack, his abilities may match Sonic's movement exactly. Some versions also include limited flying abilities, while others keep the original Sonic mechanics.
Because multiple releases exist, features may vary slightly between versions.
