🌈 A Battle System Built Around New Types

The biggest change in Pokemon Too Many Types is its expanded type system.

Documented gameplay changes include:

62 Pokémon types instead of the traditional 18.
Pokémon can have up to three types simultaneously.
Many Pokémon receive new type combinations.
Type matchups are completely redesigned.
Battles require different strategies than the original Pokémon Emerald.

Learning the new type chart becomes an important part of your adventure because familiar matchups no longer always apply.

⚔️ Battle Strategy Changes

The expanded type system changes almost every battle.

Some Pokémon gain additional strengths and weaknesses because they can possess multiple types at once. Type advantages that work in the official games may no longer produce the same results, so checking a Pokémon's typing becomes much more important before selecting a move.

🎯 My Experience

The expanded type chart completely changed the way I approached battles. I quickly realized that knowledge from the official Pokémon games was no longer enough because many familiar Pokémon had different strengths and weaknesses. Discovering new type combinations became one of the most interesting parts of the adventure, and every important battle encouraged me to think more carefully before selecting an attack.
