Sonic 1 Alt is a fan-made ROM hack of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. It is another new retro platformer that you can play online on our website. You still get the same physics and style of the 1991 classic, but every zone has been redesigned to test your skills in a new way. I played through Green Hill in this hack and noticed how different paths change the rhythm of the run. Without the original speed cap, Sonic is quicker and freer when you build momentum.
