Sonic the Hedgehog Plus

Sonic the Hedgehog Plus is a modified version of the original Genesis platform game, which you can play online on our website. This ROM hack was created to enhance the base game with modern features while preserving the classic Sega charm. The hack is still in beta, but already shows how small upgrades can make the old experience more enjoyable. When I tried it myself, the new spin dash move felt natural, almost as if it had always been part of the original Sonic 1. The updated visuals also stand out and give a slight polish without taking away the retro style.
