• Look for open teammates before passing.
• Passing is important when you want to move the opposition away from your attacking area.

Attacking

• Move the controlled footballer into useful positions.
• Use passes to create shooting opportunities.
• You can attempt shots when you have a clear path toward the goal.
• Crosses can help you attack from wider areas.

🥅 Passing, Shooting and Defending

The football system gives you several basic actions during a match.

You can pass the ball, shoot toward goal, cross from wider areas, tackle opponents, and control your goalkeeper when required.

The underlying International Superstar Soccer Deluxe system also supports football actions such as headers and bicycle-kick-style shots.

Your positioning matters. A rushed pass can give possession away. A poorly timed tackle can result in a foul. <

🎙️ A Memorable Audio Style

The commentary is one of the features that many retro-football fans remember.

Ronaldinho Soccer 98 uses football commentary and sound effects during matches. Goal calls and other commentary moments give the matches a recognizable Brazilian/South American presentation.

The audio is especially noticeable during scoring situations.
