Sonic the Hedgehog 2: CENSOR Prototype

Sonic the Hedgehog 2: CENSOR Prototype is an early test build of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis, where you explore incomplete levels, debug features, and placeholder assets used during the game's development. You move through unfinished versions of zones like Emerald Hill and Hidden Palace, where objects may be missing or behave differently from the final release. The build also includes early versions of sprites and mechanics that were later altered or removed. This prototype gives you a rare opportunity to see how Sonic 2 evolved before its official launch.
