Super Junkoid DX

Super Junkoid DX is a total conversion game of Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was created by P. Yoshi and transforms almost every part of Nintendo's original game. You explore a completely different world, control a new protagonist named Junko, collect custom upgrades, and uncover a psychological horror story through exploration instead of lengthy dialogue.

This project does not aim to recreate the original Super Metroid experience. It uses the same engine to tell an original story with its own atmosphere, characters, mechanics, and world design.

The story follows Junko, who enters a strange dream after saving a small snake. The dream slowly becomes darker as you move deeper into its world. Your objective is to uncover its secrets and confront the creature responsible for the nightmare.
