Super Mario Bros. 1X
About the Game
Super Mario Bros. 1X is a Super Mario World game created by Koyuki that pays tribute to several classic Mario adventures. It uses the Super Mario World engine while drawing inspiration from Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario Land. If you enjoy traditional 2D platform games, this game offers a familiar experience with completely original stages. It is now available for you to play on our website through EmulatorJS.
During my research, one aspect stood out immediately. This is not a direct remake of the original NES game. Instead, it follows its own path with custom level design while keeping the smooth controls and movement from Super Mario World.
๐ Why Super Mario Bros. 1X Stands Out
Instead of copying one classic Mario game, this hack celebrates several Nintendo platformers across its worlds. Some notable highlights include:
- Built on the Super Mario World engine for the SNES.
- Developed by Koyuki.
- Released in 2018.
- Inspired by Super Mario All-Stars.
- Original level layouts instead of copied stages.
- Visual references to multiple classic Mario titles.
- World map progression similar to Super Mario World.
๐ฎ What You Can Expect
Your adventure follows the familiar goal of helping Mario rescue Princess Peach from Bowser and his army. As you move through the worlds, you will encounter:
- Classic platform stages
- Hidden bonus areas
- Coins and power-ups
- Secret exits in selected levels
- Familiar enemies from older Mario games
- Increasing difficulty across later worlds
๐ฐ A Mix of Classic Mario Inspirations
One reason this game has remained popular is its use of ideas from several Nintendo games.
