Kirby in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a fan-made ROM hack based on Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. The hack replaces Sonic with Kirby, the well-known character from HAL Laboratory and Nintendo, while preserving the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 gameplay, stages, and story.

This is an unofficial crossover project created by fans and is not an official game from Sega or Nintendo.

The main feature of this hack is the character swap.

Instead of controlling Sonic, you guide Kirby through the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 adventure. Kirby uses custom sprites created for the Genesis game, while the movement and gameplay mechanics remain based on Sonic's abilities.
