Pokémon Mirage of Tales: The Ages of Faith is a medieval-themed ROM hack that takes you far from the usual Pokémon world. Instead of modern cities and gyms, you're thrown into a war-torn region called Avlar, where politics, religion, and survival shape every decision. We recently added this to our RPG section because it offers something different from the traditional Pokémon experience.

You start by choosing one of three characters—Prince Evandor, Princess Zhafira, or Kala the Slave. Each of them follows their path, with their own conflicts and outcomes. The region isn’t built around catching Pokémon for sport. It’s about making alliances, managing resources, and shaping your moral path. • Three unique storylines based on the character you choose, each with branching events and choices.
• Good, Neutral, and Evil alignment paths that shift your story and unlock different rewards.
• Fully reworked world based on a medieval Middle Eastern-inspired region called Avlar.
• Strategy map lets you track towns, conflicts, and influence across the land.
• Pokéballs, PC storage, and Pokécenters are removed, replaced with temples and storyline-based healing.
• Turn-based battle engine uses modern mechanics like the physical/special split and updated move sets.
• The Finance Chamber system gives you points over time to spend on item rewards or special access.
• Rideable Pokémon and 12-party support (with special item) expand your exploration options.
