Sonic 2: Advanced

Sonic 2: Advanced Edit is a full-stage overhaul platformer that gives you new zones, new enemies and different boss encounters inside the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 framework. You still move with classic Sonic physics, but you run through redesigned acts that change the pace of each stage. I went through different builds of this mod, and each release showed clear progress in layout quality and boss variety.
