About the Game
Motobug the Badnik in Sonic the Hedgehog is a classic enemy from the Sonic series. It is another new retro character study that you can play online on our website. This Badnik is the very first foe you encounter in the original Sonic the Hedgehog (1991). Designed by Dr. Eggman, Motobug is shaped like a robotic ladybug with a single wheel engine. Motobug may look small, but it became iconic because it was the very first obstacle in Sonic’s Green Hill Zone. When you defeat it with a Spin Attack, you free a small trapped animal inside. Over the years, Motobug appeared in many Sonic games, comics, and even spin-offs, always keeping its simple but recognizable role.
How to Play
Keyboard Controls:
- Arrow Keys = Move Sonic
- Z = Jump / Spin Attack
- X = Secondary Action (if available)
- Enter = Start
- Shift = Select
Mobile Controls:
- Touch buttons appear on-screen. Use the left side pad for movement and the right buttons for jump or spin attack.
