Pokemon Apollo

Pokemon Apollo is a thrilling hack of Pokemon Fire Red where players play as the antagonist and join Team Rocket. The hack version comes with a unique storyline where players report to Giovanni and complete various evil missions to climb the ranks. The game features Pokemon from various generations with Gen 4 and Gen 5 Pokemon skills, adding to the excitement. Players can steal TM from Cerulean City, get chased by police, and even kidnap nurses as they embark on a vile adventure.

🚀 A Story Told from Team Rocket's Perspective

You wake up inside Team Rocket Headquarters, where you learn that Giovanni has assigned you your first mission.

As the story progresses, you will:

• Complete missions for Team Rocket.
• Rise through the organization's ranks.
• Travel through Kanto and later Johto.
• Carry out assignments instead of collecting Gym Badges in the traditional way.
• Help rebuild Team Rocket's influence.

⭐ Gameplay Changes

Pokemon Apollo changes several core parts of the original FireRed adventure.

Documented features include:

• Play as a Team Rocket member.
• Based on Pokémon FireRed.
• Three Team Rocket-themed starter Pokémon: Ekans, Koffing, and Grimer.
• No traditional Gym challenge.
• Badges earned by completing missions.
• Pokémon from Generation I and Generation II.
• Updated Pokémon sprites.
• Updated movesets.
• Physical/Special split.
• Generation IV and V moves.
• New TM and HM list.
• New Move Tutors.
• Day and Night system.
• Glow Stone, which evolves Pokémon that normally require trading.
• Ability to steal certain Pokémon and items during specific encounters.

🏅 Missions Replace Gym Battles

One of the biggest differences is how progression works.

Instead of defeating Gym Leaders to earn Badges, your advancement depends on completing assignments given by Giovanni. These missions become the main objective throughout the story and determine your progress within Team Rocket.

Since this is a Game Boy Advance (GBA) ROM, these are the standard controls.

• Z – A Button (Confirm / Interact)
• X – B Button (Cancel)
• A – L Button
• S – R Button

🎯 Why This game Stands Out

The biggest surprise for me was seeing the Pokémon world from Team Rocket's perspective. Instead of protecting Pokémon and collecting Gym Badges, I spent most of my time completing criminal assignments for Giovanni. The mission-based progression also changes the pace of the adventure because your objectives are very different from those in the original FireRed story.
