Pokémon FireRed 809 Randomizer is a custom GBA ROM hack that expands the original FireRed experience by adding all 809 Pokémon from Generation 1 through Generation 7. You still travel through the classic Kanto region, but everything from the starters to the gym leaders’ teams is randomized. This version is now available for you to play on our Y9FreeGames website.
I gave this one a shot recently, and it threw me off right away—in a good way. My starter was a Rowlet instead of Charmander, and by Route 2 I ran into a Garchomp with Fairy-type moves. If you’ve played randomizer runs before, you know how unpredictable they can be. But having Pokémon from seven full generations makes it even more fun to explore.
What is Special about Pokémon FireRed 809 Randomizer
All 809 Pokémon from Gen 1 to Gen 7 are included. You might encounter a Hoopa, a Zeraora, or even a Shiinotic on early routes.
Starter Pokémon are randomized and include species from later generations like Popplio, Litten, and Mimikyu.
Every trainer has randomized Pokémon. Gym leaders and even your rival use different teams every run.
Abilities, types, and movesets are shuffled. You might see a Water/Fighting Charizard using Leaf Blade.
Evolutions are randomized too. A familiar Pokémon might evolve into something completely unexpected.
Supports Nuzlocke rules like one Pokémon per route, forced nicknames, and permadeath if fainted.
The main storyline and region stay true to FireRed, but every encounter feels brand new.
