Sonic 2 Archives

Sonic 2 Archives is a fan-made Sonic the Hedgehog 2 game that focuses on restoring and recreating content discovered in prototype builds, concept artwork, and historical development materials. The project was developed by Team Conquest and Team Technical with the goal of exploring what Sonic 2 might have looked like if more of its unused ideas had reached the final game.

I have played many Sonic games over the years, and most projects create entirely new adventures. Sonic 2 Archives takes a different direction. Its main focus is game preservation. You get the opportunity to explore zones, concepts, and story ideas that remained unfinished during Sonic 2's development.

Sonic and Tails pursue Robotnik through different locations as they attempt to stop his plans from affecting the future.
